That is the modus operandi for Vincent HoSang.
Although he was met with lots of opposition and others trying to prevent him from going after his dream to open a restaurant, that has not deterred him form having an open door policy for anyone who needs help or information on how to become an entrepreneur.

Through the Vincent HoSang Family Foundation, the HoSangs has been instrumental in helping others here in the United States, but in Jamaica and anywhere in the world he hears a cry for help.
When he was told by the volunteer organization Team Jamaica Bickle, that a lot of the Jamaican Athletes could not afford proper food to eat when they came for track meats such as the Penn Relays, not only did Mr. Hosang donate food to the athletes, but the entire HoSang family along with other volunteers actually prepare the food at the track meets and feed the athletes personally.
When the Organization for International Development needed a Medical Mus for their Mission trip to Jamaica in order to get to the rural areas where their free medical services were desperately needed, Mr. HoSang felt compelled to buy and donate a medical bus, fully equipped with medical and dental facilities to the organization, so that they could offer their free medical services to the people in the rural area who otherwise would have no access.
We could talk about the countless scholarships he has awarded to low income families, the donations of food and other goods he sent to Haiti after the Hurricane disaster or the school he helped to build in Jamaica, because there is so much to be said about his generosity and selflessness. Basil Wilson, Ph.D. is the first Black Provost for John Jay School of Criminal Justice, in New York City. This former Kingston College student and an active member of the K.C. Alumni Association never forgot his roots and constantly seeks opportunities to educate the masses on the culture, pride and struggles of the Jamaican people, African Americans Caribbean and Blacks on a whole.  This is the second part of a four part series on Dr. Wilson, which was done for my show PROUD TO BE... which aired in over 20 Caribbean Islands.

Aston Cooke Interview 1

This is part one of an interview I did with Award winning Playwright Aston Cooke after watching his hit play Jamaica 2 Rahtid Pupalick in Kingston, Jamaica. Aston is responsible for launcing the careers of many Jamaican actors both on television and in theatre.

In this Interview, Mr Cooke talks about the process and passion of writing and reveals his first love, upcoming projects and behind the scene info on some of the actors and, directors he's worked with.


In the end, this interview was very inspiring, informative and motivating. I thank Mr. Aston Cooke once more, for giving me a glimpse into the mind of an award wining writer.

Devon House Jamaica Interview

If you ever get a chance to go into Kingston, Devon House is a must to visit.

Devon House was originally one of 99 properties owned by a black man (mixed race). The main house still stands and has gone through some renovations over the last few years.

Today, Devon House is not only known for its food and ice cream but for the various arts and crafts shops that can be found on the grounds. After a nice meal or shopping one can relax and enjoy the gentle breeze that seem to linger under the trees at Devon House.

Very few people have actually entered the great house, but I got a tour of the house and and a chance to shoot the inside and the grounds on my trip to Jamaica.

Fabulous, breathtaking attention to detail is evident all over the mansion. Look closely because every time you do, you will see some detail you never saw before. From the ceiling to the furniture to the art, everything is skillfully and artistically made a cut above the norm.
